Info Day of QuaLiSID project
As part of the QuaLiSID project dissemination activities, an Info Day was organized on July 20, 2023 at the Flora and Fauna Rescue Park of the Technical University of Crete. During the event, the project objectives, goals and results were presented by the TUC-DISPLAY, CERTH-ITI and GeoSense partners. There were also presentations by the administrators of the “Atlantida” creative employment center for the disabled, as well as by an expert in the field of Psychology. Finally, an open discussion was held regarding the general and special needs of people with Intellectual Disabilities and the potential of applying technological systems towards improving the quality of their life.
18th project meeting
The 18th QuaLiSID meeting took place at Chania (Digital Image and Signal Processing Laboratory) from July 19th to 21st. During the project meeting, all issues related to the finalization/validation of the integrated platform and the organization of final pilot testing activities were addressed.
17th project meeting
The 17th QuaLiSID meeting took place at Thessaloniki (Centre for Research and Technology Hellas) from June 21st to 23rd. During the project meeting, all issues related to the efficient and accurate completion of the project were addressed.
Presentation of QuaLiSID project in Kleefstra Syndrome Scientific Conference 2023
The Kleefstra Syndrome Scientific Conference 2023: “Moving towards the uptake and use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in research and clinical work” focuses on Kleefstra syndrome, a rare genetic disorder with app. 1000 diagnosed patients worldwide.
The presentation of QuaLiSID at the conference, entitled ¨The QuaLiSID system and related video analysis technologies for supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities¨, focused on two directions: on the hand we focused on the possibilities of information, entertainment and education offered by the system through the provision of multimedia content recommendations based on the user’s interests.

The 15th QuaLiSID meeting was also held online via Skype at 02/03/2023, during which the new collaborators from GeoSense company (which replaced MLS partner within the project consortium) were welcome.

Presentation of the project at the 11th Panhellenic Conference of Social Care Units “Relief”/”Επ’ Αρωγή” (official program offline)
The 11th Panhellenic Conference of Social Care Units “Relief”/”Επ’ Αρωγή” on the theme: “Dimensions, Structures & Persons of Care” was organized by the Social Welfare Center of the Region of Crete on October 31 and November 1, 2022, at the Mediterranean Architecture Center, in Chania. During the conference, the objectιve and goals of the project were presented, while the framework and functionality of the user interface of the integrated QuaLiSID interactive platform under development was demonstrated.

Organization of QUESTION Workshop in PETRA 2022 conference
In cooperation with QuaLiSID project the workshop “QUality of LifE Support SysTem for People suffering from COgNitive impairments or Intellectual Disabilities – QUESTION” was organized within the international conference “PErvasive Technologies Related to Assistive Environments – PETRA 2022”. PETRA conference was held in June 29 – July 1 of 2022 in Corfu island in Greece. The QUESTION workshop focused on novel technologies that aim to enhance the quality of daily living, by introducing creative, innovative holistic solutions to extend autonomy of people affected by cognitive impairments.
